Traditional Turkish Arts Department

In the Department of Traditional Turkish Arts, which started education in 2010-2011, it is aimed to research the traditional cultural elements and artistic productions of Turkish society with thousands of years of history and to ensure the continuity of their production.

The aim of the department is to protect, preserve and transfer Traditional Turkish Arts items such as carpets, rugs, fabrics, tiles, ceramics, ceramics, illumination, miniature, calligraphy, etc., each of which is a cultural product, to future generations by using scientific methods. In our department, it is aimed to educate students who can offer new suggestions in terms of design inspired by the past and who can benefit from today's technologies based on data based on field research. Graduates of our department can work as designers, art consultants, and designers in public and private organizations.
