Ceramics Department

Established in the 1999–2000 academic year, the Department of Ceramics emphasizes both artistic and industrial ceramics within its ceramic design education. The curriculum is continuously updated in line with advances in ceramic technology, ensuring that students gain contemporary knowledge and practical skills relevant to the field. Throughout the four-year undergraduate program, students receive comprehensive studio-based training in ceramic design, clay and plaster techniques, ceramic decoration, and glass, while also conducting practical work in technology laboratories. This hands-on education is complemented by theoretical courses in art, culture, and design, supporting students' intellectual and artistic development. Graduates of the Department of Ceramics are qualified to work as ceramic designers in public institutions, private organizations, design studios, workshops, and architectural application fields, contributing to both artistic production and industrial design practices.
