Painting Department

Established in the 1999–2000 academic year, the Department of Painting aims to educate artists who are creative, inquisitive, observant, capable of understanding artistic ideas and interpretations, and able to develop an original visual language throughout the four-year undergraduate art program. To achieve this goal, the curriculum combines studio-based instruction with theoretical coursework. In addition to courses such as drawing and basic art education, students receive workshop training in traditional painting techniques as well as printmaking, modeling, ceramics, sculpture, mosaic, and fresco, enabling them to develop both technical proficiency and artistic expression. Graduates of the Department of Painting may pursue careers as independent artists or work as painters, art consultants, and art educators in public institutions, private organizations, and cultural institutions.
