Graphics Department

The Department of Graphic Design, established in the 1999–2000 academic year, is committed to educating graphic designers who are creative, innovative, culturally aware, and proficient in contemporary design practices. During the first year of the four-year undergraduate program, students take studio-based courses such as Basic Art Education, Drawing, and Typography, complemented by courses in art and cultural studies that support their artistic and intellectual development. The educational process is supported by contemporary technological infrastructure, with students working in well-equipped computer laboratories featuring advanced hardware and software, including Macintosh computers, printers, and plotters. The department places great importance on collaborating with a wide range of public institutions, private organizations, and cultural initiatives, taking into account the rich social and cultural context of Antalya. Through these collaborations, students gain opportunities to engage with real-world design projects and professional practice. Graduates of the Department of Graphic Design pursue careers as graphic designers, art directors, or creative directors in advertising and branding agencies, publishing and media organizations, and communication design studios. They may also work in the fields of digital and electronic media, advertising, packaging design, and other sectors of the creative industries.
