Basic Education Department

Established in the 2006–2007 academic year, the Department of Basic Education is responsible for delivering both practical and theoretical courses that are offered jointly across all departments of the Faculty of Fine Arts. The department provides students with both theoretical and practical art education through a range of compulsory and elective courses that form the foundation of artistic training. Although it does not enroll its own students, the department serves all programs within the faculty. Its primary aim is to help students develop visual perception, creativity, and knowledge of form and composition, while also enabling them to understand the historical and cultural contexts of art and build a strong foundational competence across artistic disciplines.
